To reach the Chinese community, this program developed a full marketing campaign tailed to the Chinese community. There were announcements in Cantonese on the Chinese radio station. Ads in Chinese in the Sing Tao Weekly. A brochure in Chinese. Many of the lectures were delivered in Cantonese. There is even a phone extension for messages in Cantonese, and a staff member able to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin returns the call.
How you may not have a community speaking a different language in your area. But you have diverse audiences as well. Each responds to a different message. By tailoring the promotion, inquiries, brochure and even classes to a particular audience segment, this program was able to successfully reach its target audience.
