Monday, February 2, 2009
City Tour (4:00 – 5:30 p.m.)
Get a feel for this diverse city where music, education, and politics mix together in many different ways. Highlights include the entertainment districts, the famous Congress Avenue bridge and bat colony, the University of Texas, LBJ Presidential Library, and KLRU-TV, home of the acclaimed “Austin City Limits” show. The tour also includes a visit to the Capitol building. The cost for the tour, including transportation, is $26.

Dinner at Gumbo’s
(Depart hotel at 5:30 p.m.)
Enjoy a three-course Cajun/Creole dinner at one of the cities best restaurants. You’ll start with appetizers shared family style, have a choice of entrees, and finish with dessert. Beverages are extra. The cost for dinner, including transportation, is $44.

Dinner at Chez Nous
(Depart hotel at 5:45 p.m.)
Join us for a great three-course dinner at this charming French bistro. You’ll have a choice of three starters, three entrees and three desserts. Be sure to try one of the outstanding wines available by the glass.
Beverages are extra. The cost for dinner, including transportation, is $42.

Grab a colleague, take the free hotel shuttle, and explore the restaurant and music scene, or cross the street from the hotel and check out the Texas Chili Parlor, known for its spicy chili and great burgers.
Fees for social events are non-refundable and must be received by Monday, January 19, 2009.

Monday, June 1, 2009
City Tour (4:00 – 7:00 p.m.)
The tour starts downtown with Laclede’s Landing, the original settlement of the city. From there, it is on to the surrounding neighborhoods of this culturally diverse city. You will see Soulard to the South, home of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and some fun local dining spots. You may elect to depart the bus in the West End, shop and dine on your own, and return on the bus at about 8:00 p.m., or stay aboard and return to the hotel.
The cost for the tour, including transportation, is $29.

Dinner at Liluma in the West End 6:30 p.m.
Join us, at the end of the City Tour if you wish, for a wonderful four-course dinner at one of the best restaurants in the city, located in the heart of the West End. The cost for the dinner for those on the tour
is $64, excluding beverages. The cost for the dinner for those not on the tour is $40, excluding beverages. Persons not on the tour will need to get to the restaurant on their own but return transportation will be provided. Metrolink light rail is an easy, and inexpensive way to get to the West End.

Anheuser-Busch (InBev) Brewery Tour (4:00 – 6:15 p.m.)
Even if you are not a beer drinker, consider going on this tour. You’ll enjoy a gentle stroll through the large brewery complex starting in the museum/visitors center. You will see the famous Clydesdale horses and see the brewing process first hand. Persons under twenty-one must be accompanied by an adult. On the way back, the bus will stop to drop people off for the group dinner in Soulard. You may
elect to depart the bus and explore the area on your own and return to the hotel about 7:45 p.m. or stay aboard and return to the hotel. The cost for the tour, including transportation, is $20.

Dinner at Hard Shell Café in Soulard 6:30 p.m.
Join in the fun at the Hard Shell whose motto is "Every day is Mardi Gras." Partake in a scrumptious Cajun dinner and then return to the hotel or stay and explore the live music scene. The cost for
the two-course dinner is $54 for those on the tour, excluding beverages. The cost for the dinner for those not on the tour is $38, excluding beverages. Persons not on the tour will need to get to the restaurant
on their own but return transportation will be provided. Taxi fare to the restaurant is between $8 and $10.

Just across the street from the Hyatt Regency is the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Park. We recommend you visit the Arch, Court House and museum at your convenience. See why each year, millions of people visit this spectacular monument created by Eero Saarinen each year. For the evening, you may want to see a Cardinals game if they are in town, have dinner at 1111 Mississippi in Lafayette Square, have some great sushi at Wasabi’s, or listen to the blues at B.B. Kings place, BB’s Jazz, Blues, and Soups.
